Tim Lewis

Tim Lewis

Senior Project Manager

Tim graduated from Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical School in Massachusetts with a focus on carpentry. He received awards for his skills including 1st in State in Carpentry and top 12 in the country. Tim joined Phi in 2015, bringing with him over 24 years of experience as a lead carpenter. Tim has a tremendous skill for listening to customers’ needs. He follows through with plans, manages subcontractors with ease and completes projects with the highest level of professionalism. His work ethic, ability to manage multiple projects, and industry knowledge make Tim a vital team member and project manager.

Ashley Lowe

Ashley Lowe

Operations Manager

Ashley is a graduate of Simmons College in Boston, MA. She joined Phi in 2016 bringing over 17 years of experience in customer service in various industries including medical, banking, and food service. Ashley’s face is the first you will see when you walk into the showroom. She lends consistent support to our general contracting crew members, managers, and clients alike. As the liaison between so many different parties at Phi, Ashley strives to always leave a positive mark on every interaction she has daily.

Manager Millwork Division

Marc joined the Phi team in 2020, bringing with him 27 years experience in the millwork trade. He is a fifth generation woodworker and has spent the majority of his career with a focus on historic restoration and preservation millwork. Marc’s experience and depth of knowledge in the woodworking trades guides the work in the shop, leading to woodwork of uncompromising quality and longevity.

Jeffrey Leclair

Senior Architect

Jeffrey is an Architect with twenty years of experience in the design field. His project experience includes institutional, commercial, industrial, and residential work, but no matter the type of building or client, Jeff’s work is grounded in a conceptual approach to creating experiences for the senses and spaces for living. Although born and raised in coastal Maine, Jeff has spent most of his adult years in the Boston area working for some of the top national architectural firms, and on significant projects in a leadership role alongside talented builders. Jeff studied engineering and art history at Tufts University, and received his graduate degree in architecture at Rhode Island School of Design. He is proud to support Phi’s amazing design team in their work for great clients.

Senior Project Manager

Matt joined the Phi team in August of 2021. As a child, he spent much of his time fixing things around his family homes, which sparked a love of restoration and renovation. After serving in the US military, Matt shifted his focus to cultivating his passion for historic preservation and restoration of period homes and businesses across the State of Maine. Teamwork and good communication are of utmost importance to Matt, as he brings his restoration knowledge to both the Phi team and clients.

As an Architect, Helena has worked with a wide range of clients on projects that include university libraries and classrooms, healthcare facilities, and high-end contemporary homes. She is always eager to learn about the routines and rituals that make up clients’ daily lives, and she highly values a collaborative process to achieve the best end-product. Helena embraces a holistic approach to design and applies a diligent work ethic and rigorous attention to detail to all projects she leads. Helena received a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and a Master in Design Studies from Harvard Graduate School of Design.

 

Derek Siebert

Derek Siebert

Project Manager

Derek joined Phi in May of 2022. He is a graduate of Northeastern University with a degree in Architecture. He brings 12+ years of experience in residential construction as a designer, carpenter and project manager. Along with a very diverse skill set, Derek prides himself on his attention to detail and strong commitment to provide the best finished product for the customer. He is excited to grow and work with the team of talented craftspeople at Phi in this next chapter of his professional life.

Steve Jacobs

Steve Jacobs

Project Manager

Steve joined Phi in 2015 as a carpenter. He started working with trades in 2006 as a millwright. He then moved on to learn the building and refinishing of log homes all the while continuing to refine his skills as a carpenter. Steve is a Renaissance man.  If you come to him with a problem, he will solve it. He is not afraid to get dirty, listens to his client’s requests, and communicates well with his colleagues. Steve can often be found on the jobsite hammering a nail and educating his colleagues. His team player mindset and ability to easily build rapport with clients make Steve effective as a project manager.

Certified Interior Designer

Kate is a certified interior designer who enjoys enriching people’s lives by creating functional and beautiful buildings. She enjoys listening to her clients to inform her designs and giving them spaces that can stand the test of time and increase the overall life of the building. In addition to residential home design, she has experience designing commercial retail spaces and hotel design. After spending her summers in Maine, Kate decided to make the move permanent and relocated from her hometown of Durham, North Carolina. She received her bachelor’s degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Alex Hernandez

Alex Hernandez

Architectural Designer and Estimator

Alex is a graduate of Southern Maine Community College, as well as the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts. He brings over 8 years of experience in designing and drafting to Phi. Most importantly Alex’s work is also his hobby and his passion. He prides himself on wanting to know how things work, why things work and how things can work better. He is meticulous and detail-oriented, some would even call him a perfectionist. Alex approaches obstacles with an open mindset and this helps Alex create designs for clients that are flawless, realistic, and creative. Prior to joining Phi, Alex worked as a mill shop draftsman.

 

Annette Tolman

Annette Tolman

Controller

Annette joined Phi in 2016 and has been an accountant for over 30 years. She brings knowledge from various industries including hospitality, publishing, manufacturing, technology, construction, and Cellardoor Winery. She handles all financial matters at Phi. Annette supports the managers with providing up-to-date client account information, keeping on top of important financial changes to projects, and is constantly providing ideas on how we can better serve our clients. She has an incredible attention to detail and high level of professionalism which makes Annette invaluable to our staff and clients.
