Lighting Studies

Phi was introduced to a potential client who was interested in exploring new lighting options for his deep-water pier and wharf in Islesboro, Maine. After a ferry ride and some quick field measurements, we then digitally recreated the pier and wharf as a three-dimensional computer model back at the office using Google SketchUp. By editing and applying various photo textures and lighting options in a rendering program called VRay, we were able to provide the client with near-photorealistic images of what his marine lighting possibilities could be. Within the course of a week, Phi can produce very accurate visual representations of both residential or commercial lighting concepts long before any construction begins.
