Island Residence
Phi Architect Peter Gross designed this new construction on Islesboro, Maine, to take full advantage of the unique waterfront property. The home is situated among a hearty growth of sweet ferns that were left virtually untouched during the construction process. This 4 bedroom Gambrel-style home offers style and function with function with custom cabinets. The substantial fireplace was crafted using stones from Isleboro – the mantle is a piece of driftwood found on the rocky shore below. Maritime influences abound in this classic waterfront home, including ship ladders that connect bedrooms upstairs to third floor lofts.
